Dr. Harry L. Whitt, Pastor


Biographical information: 

He was born in Etowah County, Alabama in 1955 and raised by Christian parents,  T.V. and Frances Whitt.  He is the youngest of five children.  Bro. Harry was saved and baptized in 1966 at the age of eleven.

In 1977, he graduated from Auburn University with a BS Degree in Education.  He completed some post-graduate course work at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi and then graduated from Covington Theological Seminary in 2004 with Masters Degree in Theology.  Continuing with his seminary education, he graduated from Covington Theological Seminary with a Doctorate of Ministry Degree in 2006.

The family of Bro. Harry includes his wife Jennie Whitt who is a retired elementary school teacher.  Harry and Jennie's family include Jeremy and Amy Whitt Prickett and their daughter Emily Suzanne Prickett and Seth and Steffany Whitt. 

Bro. Harry answered the call to preach in 1983 at the age of 28.  He began his first pastorate in 1985.  He has been involved in full-time ministry since 1988.

In 1994, Bro. Harry founded a ministry, Pathway Outreach Ministries.  On the home front several children's mission churches in mobile home parks were established and continue today, where young people are ministered to on a weekly basis.  Pathway Outreach Ministries has also been active in jail ministries through the years.  Through the work of Pathway Outreach Ministries a mission effort was begun in Haiti, where today there are three churches, three schools and one orphanage.  Bro. Harry serves as Executive Director of Pathway Outreach Ministries.

Bro. Harry has been the senior pastor at New Life Christian Center in Boaz, Alabama since February 2001.  New Life Christian Center is a full-gospel fellowship.
