Share the Gospel
& Love of Christ with the children.
-
Teach them to
Praise & Worship our Lord.
-
Show them how to
pray.
-
Motivate them to
read the Word.
-
Disciple our
children into spiritual maturity.
-
Teach them to do the same for someone else.

Kid’s
Network Tip Sheet
-
Lighten up and let kids be kids. They
aren't adults, so don't expect them to act like adults.
-
Don't take yourself or your
circumstances too seriously. Nothing is ever as bad as you think it
is and nothing is ever as good as you think it is.
-
Be able to say "I don't know." Then
young people will listen to you better when you do know.
-
Avoid all double standard rules for
leaders and students. Whatever goes for the kids goes for you and
your staff.
-
When trying to improve the church,
start with yourself.
-
Become a listener. Learn to withhold
your opinion on everything and just listen. You'll be much more
helpful that way.
-
Be teachable and follow directions
from leadership.
-
Don't attempt to be "one of the kids."
If you're an adult, be an adult. Just be an adult who loves kids.

Leading
a Child to Christ
It is very important that we are prepared to
present the Gospel and the plan of salvation in order to lead our
children to Christ. Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Never force or coerce a child to make a decision. The child must be
under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and then and only then can we
help them receive the precious gift of salvation. Take the time to
read the scriptures and be able to give a presentation that is easy
for the children to understand. Avoid religious jargon and symbolism
that the children may not understand. By design, this is so simple
that a child can understand. We need to work hard not to over
complicate it. The wordless book is a
great tool to present the plan of salvation. It is very flexible in
its application and delivery. Become familiar with it so that you are
able to present it without notes.
Information on the wordless book is available
here. |
