Pastor's Vision
Key
Scripture
Luke 4:18.19 "The
Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the
gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to
proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to
set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year
of the Lord."
(NKJV)
1.
We shall strive to be a fellowship of genuine healing love for all. Not
having a bleeding heart love but a tough love. Loving the unlovable but
making love tough. Giving a hand-up not a hand-out. Seeking the cure not
a temporary fix for the problems of our society.
2.
We shall strive to be a fellowship of outreach. Seeking and pursuing the
lost. Using every possible means to evangelize the lost and reaching the
disillusioned.
3.
We shall strive to
be a fellowship that is true to scripture, in teaching, preaching and
living.
4.
We shall strive to be a fellowship of missions. Carrying the gospel to
the ends of the earth by giving, going and doing.
5.
We shall strive to be a fellowship of example modeling Christ to the
world. Modeling a Christian example individually and corporately by
building Christian community, Christian families and individuals.
6.
We shall strive to
be a fellowship impacting every element of the community.
7.
We shall strive to be a fellowship impacting every age group. Ministry
to all, for all and through all.
8.
We shall strive to be fellowship in kingdom relationship with other
believers. Tearing down walls and using the material to build bridges.
9.
We shall strive to be a fellowship of wisdom. Keenly aware of the
devices of the devil and not allowing wolves to devour the flock.
Accomplishing this by using spiritual discernment as spiritual detection
against the enemy.
10.
We shall strive to be a fellowship of prayer. Training, stressing and
practicing individual and corporate prayer. Raising up intercessors for
the spiritual battles to be fought and won.
11.
We shall strive to be a fellowship of balance. Putting priorities on
God’s priorities. Putting first things first and last things last.
Asking God not to bless what we are doing but doing what God is
blessing.
12.
We shall strive to be a fellowship without walls and barriers. A
fellowship which is multi-racial and multicultural. One that does not
have barriers that people must climb over to get in. To be a hospital
for the broken, battered and bleeding. A place where the disillusioned
can receive vision. |
